Who it fits
Good fit for
This toilet suits homeowners with small bathrooms or powder rooms where space is limited. The compact footprint and 12-inch rough-in size fit standard residential plumbing. You will appreciate the easy-to-clean skirted design if you prefer low-maintenance fixtures. The 1.28 GPF flush volume helps conserve water without sacrificing performance. The elongated bowl provides a comfortable seating area despite the smaller overall size. It is ideal for those seeking a modern, hygienic look in a tight layout.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you require a dual-flush option for maximum water savings. This model uses a single flush system only. Buyers needing a taller, comfort-height toilet will find the 26-inch height to be standard rather than elevated. If you prefer a round bowl for a minimal footprint, this elongated design may take up more floor space. Additionally, if your home has a non-standard rough-in size other than 12 inches, this unit will not fit without significant plumbing modifications.
Verdict: The DeerValley DV-1F52807 is a practical, space-saving toilet for small bathrooms. Its skirted design and efficient flush make it a solid choice for low-maintenance living.
Key specs explained for this toilet
Flush Volume: 1.28 GPF
This rating means the toilet uses 1.28 gallons of water per flush. It is one of the most water-efficient options available today. You save significant water compared to older models that use 1.6 GPF or more. This is ideal for eco-conscious buyers or those with restricted water supplies. The lower volume requires a powerful siphon design to ensure waste removal remains effective without wasting resources.
Rough-In Size: 12"
The rough-in distance is the space from the wall to the center of the drain pipe. A 12-inch measurement is the standard for most homes in the United States. You need this specific size to ensure the toilet fits your existing plumbing. If your home has a 10-inch rough-in, this model will not install correctly. Always measure this distance before purchasing to avoid compatibility issues with your bathroom layout.
Toilet Type: one-piece
A one-piece design connects the tank and bowl into a single ceramic unit. This eliminates the gap where dirt and bacteria often accumulate. You benefit from easier cleaning and a more streamlined, modern appearance. This contrasts with two-piece toilets that have a visible seam between the tank and bowl. The seamless construction also tends to be more durable and less prone to leaks over time.
Bowl Shape: elongated
An elongated bowl is oval-shaped and extends further forward than a round bowl. This shape generally offers more comfort for average and taller adults. It provides a larger seating area, which is a practical feature for daily use. While it requires slightly more floor space, the added comfort is often worth the trade-off. This is the preferred choice for most households seeking ergonomic design in their bathroom fixtures.

This finish helps keep the bathroom looking fresh with minimal effort. The soft-close seat prevents slamming. A quick-release mechanism allows you to remove it for deep cleaning. Frequently asked questions
Is this toilet suitable for elderly users or those with mobility issues?
The DeerValley DV-1F52807 features a standard height seat rather than an elevated comfort height. This means the rim sits at a typical level, which may require more effort to sit down or stand up compared to taller models. If you need easier access, you might want to look for a chair-height option instead.
Does the compact design compromise flushing power?
The unit uses a 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF) system. This low volume is designed to meet efficiency standards while maintaining adequate pressure for waste removal. The one-piece construction also helps maintain smooth internal water flow, which can support consistent performance even with less water usage compared to older, bulkier designs.
How difficult is it to clean the skirted base?
This model features a fully skirted design that covers the trapway. This smooth surface eliminates the crevices and bumps found in traditional toilets, making it easier to wipe down with a cloth. You can clean the entire exterior quickly without worrying about dirt collecting in hard-to-reach areas around the base.
Will this fit in a bathroom with a 10-inch rough-in?
No, this toilet requires a 12-inch rough-in size. The rough-in is the distance from the wall to the center of the drain pipe. If your bathroom has a 10-inch rough-in, this model will not align correctly with your existing plumbing. You would need a different toilet designed for that specific measurement.
Is the included seat durable and quiet?
Yes, the listing includes a soft close seat. This feature ensures the lid and seat lower slowly and quietly, preventing loud slams. It also helps protect the porcelain from chipping. The soft close mechanism is built into the hinges, providing a smoother experience during daily use without needing additional adjustments.
What is the total weight of the toilet for installation?
The DeerValley DV-1F52807 weighs 86.2 pounds. This substantial weight indicates a solid ceramic build, which helps stabilize the unit during use. However, it also means you will likely need help to move and position it during installation. Ensure you have assistance available to handle the unit safely.
