Who it fits
Good fit for
This vanity suits homeowners who need a freestanding unit that does not require complex plumbing modifications. The 36-inch width fits standard master or guest baths well. Buyers who value soft-close hardware will appreciate the quiet drawer operation. The open bottom shelf is ideal for storing towels or baskets, keeping items accessible but hidden. The black finish works well in modern or minimalist decor schemes. If you want a ready-to-use sink with ample drawer storage, this spec sheet suggests a solid choice for your renovation.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a wall-mounted cabinet, as this unit is strictly freestanding. Shoppers seeking a vessel sink or integrated granite top will not find it here; the ceramic basin is fixed. If you require more than two drawers for extensive organization, the limited storage may fall short. The solid wood and MDF mix might not appeal to those insisting on 100% solid timber throughout. Additionally, if you prefer a white or grey cabinet finish, you must check the other available options, as this specific listing is black.
Verdict: The LUMISOL 36 Inch Black Bathroom Vanity offers a practical, spec-driven solution for modern bathrooms. Its durable construction and thoughtful storage make it a reliable choice for everyday use.
Key specs for this vanity
Width 36 inches
This width fits standard wall spaces between studs or in medium-sized bathrooms. You get enough counter area for daily routines without overwhelming the room. Compare this to 30-inch models if you have tighter quarters, or larger units if you need more surface space for multiple users. The 36-inch footprint balances capacity with floor space efficiency.
Sink Material Ceramic
Ceramic sinks offer a smooth, non-porous surface that resists stains and scratches. You can clean it easily with standard bathroom cleaners without worrying about dulling the finish. This material holds up well against daily use and humidity. When shopping, note that ceramic is heavier than composite options but provides a classic, durable basin for your sink.
Cabinet Material Solid wood base and MDF
The combination of solid wood and MDF provides structural stability while keeping the unit manageable. The solid wood base adds strength, while MDF components help maintain shape in humid environments. This mix offers durability for daily storage needs. Check similar vanities to see if they use particle board, which may be less resistant to moisture over time.
Mounting Type Freestanding
Freestanding units sit on the floor and do not require wall mounting brackets for support. This allows you to place the vanity in various locations without complex installation. You can move it slightly if needed, though it is heavy. Compare this to wall-mounted options if you prefer a floating look or easier floor cleaning underneath the unit.
Design and build details
According to the listing, the LUMISOL vanity uses a solid wood base paired with MDF components. This combination aims to provide durability while keeping the unit manageable. The cabinet weighs 128 pounds, which helps stabilize the freestanding design against tipping. You can place it anywhere in the bathroom without needing wall mounting hardware. The black finish offers a modern look that matches minimalist decor styles.
The layout includes two soft-close drawers and an open bottom shelf. The drawers operate quietly and are designed to extend the cabinet's life by reducing wear on the hinges. The open shelf allows you to store towels or baskets, keeping larger items accessible but out of sight. This storage arrangement helps maintain a neat appearance in smaller bathrooms where clutter is common.
The ceramic sink is white with an offset basin design. This shape maximizes counter space for daily essentials like soap or toothbrushes. The smooth surface is scratch-resistant and easy to clean, which matters for high-humidity environments. The overall dimensions are 36 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 34 inches tall. These proportions fit standard wall spaces and allow for flexible placement. You get a practical balance of storage and counter area without overwhelming the room.
Setup and everyday use
The LUMISOL vanity arrives as a freestanding unit requiring self-assembly. You will need to put the cabinet together before placing it in your bathroom. The freestanding mounting type means you do not need to anchor it to the wall for support, allowing for flexible placement. This design also simplifies installation since you can position it against any suitable wall space. Once assembled, the unit stands 34 inches tall, which aligns with standard counter heights for comfortable daily use. The cabinet measures 36 inches wide and 18 inches deep, providing a stable footprint. The solid wood base and MDF construction offer a sturdy foundation that resists wobbling during routine tasks. You interact with the vanity through its two soft-close drawers. This feature ensures smooth, quiet operation every time you open or close them, reducing noise in the bathroom. The open bottom shelf offers additional storage for towels or baskets, keeping items off the floor and out of sight. The white ceramic sink is integrated into the top, featuring an offset basin. This design maximizes the remaining counter space for your toiletries and daily essentials. The ceramic material is scratch-resistant and easy to clean, requiring only a simple wipe to maintain its appearance. The black finish and minimalist lines complement modern decor styles. You can place this vanity in various bathroom layouts, from powder rooms to master baths, as long as the 36-inch width fits your available space.
Before You Buy This Vanity
You need to verify your plumbing alignment before purchase. The ceramic sink has an offset basin design. This means the drain is not centered under the cabinet. You must check if your existing P-trap and water supply lines match this layout. If they do not, you will need flexible supply lines or a custom plumbing adjustment. The unit weighs 128 pounds. Ensure your floor can support this static load without sagging, especially if it sits on uneven tiles. Cleaning requires only a damp cloth for the black MDF and ceramic surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the finish. This 36-inch model offers more counter space than the 30-inch variations. Choose it if you need room for multiple daily essentials. If your bathroom is narrow, the 18-inch depth might feel spacious, but measure carefully. This vanity suits those who prioritize storage and a modern aesthetic over wall-mounted savings.

- Check plumbing alignment for the offset sink drain.
- Confirm floor strength for the 128-pound weight.
