Comparing TOTO S2 Alternatives
Bio Bidet BB2000 Round Electric Bidet
The Bio Bidet BB2000 Round Electric Bidet also provides endless warm water, matching the S2’s heating style. However, it replaces the side panel controls with a wireless remote for easier operation. It is slightly narrower at 15.4 inches wide and taller at 10 inches high. This model includes a slow-close lid and night light, similar to the S2. It lacks PREMIST misting and EWATER+ wand cleaning, so you lose some automatic hygiene features. Choose this if you prefer remote control precision over a side panel and do not need bowl pre-misting.
Alpha Bidet JX2 Round
The Alpha Bidet JX2 Round offers endless warm water and remote control operation. It is significantly thinner at just 0.99 inches high, making it a low-profile option compared to the S2’s 5.5-inch height. It includes LED lighting and a night light. Like the Bio Bidet, it does not feature PREMIST or EWATER+ self-cleaning technologies. The S2 provides pulsating and oscillating wash modes, while this unit focuses on basic comfort. Pick this seat if space under the tank is limited and you want simple remote operation without complex hygiene automation.
Brondell S102 Non-Electric Round Bidet
The Brondell Swash S102 Non-Electric Round is a stark contrast to the electronic S2. It uses water pressure rather than electricity for warm water, meaning it requires a connected water line but no power outlet. It is much lighter at 6.94 pounds and shorter at 2.55 inches high. You give up heated seats, dryers, night lights, and remote controls. It is a basic, reliable mechanical bidet. Choose this alternative if you lack electrical access near the toilet or want a simple, maintenance-free device without electronic components or self-cleaning wands.
TOTO C5 Round Bidet Seat
The TOTO C5 Round Electronic Bidet Seat is another TOTO option with remote control. It shares the S2’s premium hygiene features, including PREMIST and EWATER+ wand cleaning. It is slightly narrower at 15.1 inches wide and heavier at 14.3 pounds. The C5 uses a remote rather than the S2’s side panel. It offers similar instant heating and comfort. Select this model if you prefer the convenience of a handheld remote over a side-mounted panel but still want the same advanced bowl misting and self-cleaning technologies found in the S2.
TOTO Washlet KS5 Elongated Bidet
The TOTO KS5 Elongated Bidet Seat is designed for elongated toilets, unlike the round S2. It features instantaneous heating and remote control operation. It is shorter in height at 5.38 inches and lighter at 11.2 pounds. This model lacks PREMIST and EWATER+ features, focusing on customizable comfort and hands-free operation. It is wider at 15 inches but longer at 20.9 inches. Choose this alternative if your toilet is elongated and you want a premium TOTO experience with remote control, accepting the trade-off of missing automatic hygiene maintenance features.
TOTO Washlet S5 Round Bidet
The TOTO WASHLET S5 Round Electronic Bidet is a direct upgrade to the S2. It includes PREMIST and EWATER+ for superior hygiene, similar to the S2. It uses a remote control instead of a side panel. It is narrower at 15.1 inches wide and much thinner at 0.99 inches high. It is slightly heavier at 15.2 pounds. The S5 offers more personalized settings via remote. Pick this seat if you want the same high-end hygiene features as the S2 but prefer remote operation and a slimmer profile for your bathroom.
